Appliances from washing machines to blenders to air conditioning units perform best and have long service lives when they contain high-quality component parts. Many manufacturing operations and materials are involved in building appliances, including progressive and fourslide stamping. Common stamped components in appliances include:

  • Brackets
  • Clamps
  • Clips
  • Connectors
  • Contacts
  • Fasteners
  • Flat springs
  • Levers
  • Mounting plates
  • Retainers
  • Strain Relief components
  • Terminals

Metal Stamping Services for the Appliance Industry

ESI offers an extensive range of metal stamping services to meet the needs of the appliance industry including:

  • Extensive Capabilities. ESI can accommodate production runs as small as 1,000 or fewer pieces or as large as 20 million or more. All stamping projects include in-house tool and die manufacturing for progressive and fourslide stamping. We also provide a suite of secondary and finishing services.
  • Material Versatility. We work with a range of materials including steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, beryllium copper, phosphor bronze, aluminum, and titanium in thicknesses from ⅛ to 0.005 in.
  • Advanced Stamping Techniques. All tooling and dies are custom-built in-house using state-of-the-art wire EDM and CNC machining equipment. Our stamping presses range from 5 to 150 tons.
    • Progressive Stamping. Progressive stamping is an efficient way to produce large quantities of identical parts with a single press. Each stroke of the press creates new impressions on the material as it advances through a series of stations that form parts.
    • Fourslide Stamping. Fourslide stamping is used to cut and bend metal blanks from multiple directions quickly for efficient production.
  • Automated Quality Assurance. For quality assurance, we use integrated vision inspection systems to validate every component to minimize scrap and rework. We also have a Six Sigma Black Belt-trained quality assurance team to maintain the highest quality assurance standards.
  • Precision and Flexibility. We can hold tolerances as small as .0005 in. for parts and .0002 in. for dies. Our team can work with a range of materials and thicknesses to create a variety of components used in appliances.
  • Comprehensive Services. We offer a range of secondary services, including assembly, staking, tapping, welding, riveting, plating, heat treating, deburring, and cleaning to deliver a one-stop solution.
  • Customer-Centric Approach. Our team is dedicated to providing efficient and affordable production for all our customers. We specialize in personal, responsive service.
